Formula 1 Grosser Preis Santander Von Deutschland 2014

2014/07/22

[I know the title of this post has a small typo/error the von should have a small v, if I change it now it will probably trigger weird stuff with IFTTT so will leave it for the moment]

Attending the German Formula 1 Grand Prix was the highlight (cost and event wise) of my holiday, it didn’t disappoint and is something off the bucket list (not that I have such a list really but still if I did a F1GP would have been on there). I am really pleased I have been to a race, I know Tim enjoyed the one he went to and Jon will enjoy the one this weekend as well. Quite funny how myself and 2 friends have all been to a F1GP in 2014.

I was pleased the rain went away and it was a good race. Lewis Hamilton started 20th and did super well to come all the way back to 3rd, given a few more laps and maybe a different tyre strategy he could have taken 2nd place, but Nico Rosberg was too far to catch him had he been able to get into second.

I primarily took still photos but did do a few videos (see further down). I tried using a buddies GoPro on a head strap, that worked well for the pre races but then for the F1GP main race it was pointing too high for some reason, maybe when we did the whole “holding up papers” for the German Flag thing it got pushed/moved, oh well, not serious.

Here goes with loads of photos. I have so many I just had to choose a selection of them, I won’t put descriptions on them in most the cases (ja ja, I know that is being lazy but I have more important things to do when on holiday).

Using this leaderboard is your best way to keep track of who is where and what is going on, you can watch on the big screens too but is a tad small to see that detail

People running like crazy to get a good spot (that was me not long after but I was way too late, by the time I was on the track they were already doing the podium stuff)
