Porsche Factory Tour and Museum

2014/07/23

Did the my final motoring item of my Stuttgart stay today I went to the Porsche Factory Tour and Museum. I had booked the tour long ago as with the Mercedes one. I got there in ample time so looked round the 1st bit of the museum before the 10am scheduled start. The tour lasted about 2hrs and was brilliant. We got to see most of what goes into assembling and putting a Porsche together. You don’t realise how cool it is until you’ve seen it. Compared to Mercedes there was a lot more manual labour involved. They produce about 200 cars a day I think from the plant here. As with the other factory tours you do, no photos were allowed, they even collected people’s cellphones before the tour. Following the tour I headed back into the Museum and continued looking around from where I had left off earlier, I did that for another good few hours. Really great to see all the cars and design stuff etc. Once again I am not going to describe all the pictures, that would take me more time than I have free right now. But enjoy the pics below.

Sound areas when you stand under them you hear what the sound of the car scrolling on the inside sounds like, super realistic
