Watched Netherlands vs Mexico SWC2014 game in Amsterdam

2014/06/30

Today was the Soccer World Cup match with Netherlands taking on Mexico in the knockout round, the winner proceeding to the quarter finals. Having arrived in Amsterdam this morning I decided that I would find a place to watch the game. I was thinking maybe a pub or something, however I went to this massive party. There was a thing organised buy Radio 538 they had setup 3 massive screens and taken over the entire Museumplein. I got there at 3:30ish and went in to get a good place even though the game only started at 6pm.

If you see how big the area is from the entrance shot you will get an idea how many people there were there, wasn’t possible to take a shot of everyone that was there. You couldn’t take drink or food in so I finished off my water and then went in.

At the entrance they were giving away sunglasses, sweets, water and maybe other stuff later but I never went back to see. There was all sorts of activities going on. WOW was it CRAZY !!!! These Dutch can really party big time !!!!
